Quick Guide
  • DuckTape Guides reports a daytime Nimbus Fields sleeping interaction, followed by Emberpup-family catches that trigger Dreaple's spawn notification. The stated 30-catch total isn't independently confirmed.
  • Dreaple is officially Dark Support with Fly Lv.2. Nightmare lowers Dark Resistance by 27%, while Dream Blast boosts the team's Dark damage by 20% for 30 seconds.

The reported Nimbus Fields route

Dreaple is a Dark support built around Drowsiness and Nightmare, with a reported catch route in Nimbus Fields. The route has two parts: a local sleeping interaction and catching Emberpup-family creatures until a spawn notification appears. Look for the on-screen spawn message before leaving to find Dreaple.

DuckTape Guides' September 25 walkthrough refers to a Sleeping Fluff event, then visits Nimbus Fields, Twines with a local sheep-like creature and uses a nap interaction. The creator says to do that part during the day if the group isn't there.

Check the local sleeping interaction

The creator Twines with the nearby sheep-like Aniimo and naps with the group in Nimbus Fields. Follow the interaction prompt rather than guessing a button from a different platform.

Catch members of the Emberpup family

The guide then uses the habitat information to find the family and keeps catching them. It states a total of 30 catches, but the creator had made catches before the demonstration.

Wait for the spawn notification

Both the creator route and a separate player report describe an on-screen message when Dreaple appears. Watch for that success signal instead of assuming every fixed number of throws guarantees a spawn.

Go to Dreaple’s reported resting area

The creator finds it near a large hole beside a building. A player describes stairs near a circular, thorn-covered ruin, diagonally upper-left of the Nimbus Fields Bloom. Use the map and visual route to identify the actual spot before throwing.

If it still hasn’t appeared

First separate the two checks. The creator's route includes the sleeping interaction and the catching phase; skipping the former and copying only the catch count may miss a local prerequisite. The exact current requirement still needs confirmation, so use the in-game event and collection hints alongside the route.

The catch total is also less certain than it sounds. The creator says 30, then acknowledges having caught some beforehand. A separate player reports getting the notification after Emberpup catches at Beast Ridge, without giving a count. Those reports support watching for the trigger, not promising Dreaple after exactly 30 new catches on every account.

No confirmed reset rule

The reports don't establish a respawn timer, whether a completed encounter resets the same way, or which account progression changes the conditions. If the message appears, go check the resting area; if it doesn't, revisit the local objective before spending more pods.

The support label matters. Dreaple's value comes from applying a Dark-resistance debuff, helping nearby allies recover and raising the team's Dark damage. Choosing it only by its personal damage number misses the reason to put it next to a Dark attacker.

Drowsiness leads to Nightmare

Counting Sheep makes the next skill apply a Drowsiness stack every 10 seconds. At three stacks, the target enters Nightmare for 20 seconds. During Nightmare, Dark Resistance falls by 27%; the target is also unable to move or cast for 3 seconds, but taking damage removes that control effect.

Dreaple’s setup tools
SkillRole in the loop
Nimbi AttackA following Nimbi damages targets in its path and adds one Drowsiness stack.
Hypnotic Cloud ShotAn area explosion applies one Drowsiness stack.
Dream BlastApplies two Drowsiness stacks and grants the whole team +20% Dark damage for 30 seconds.
Nightmare DevourerHeals Dreaple and nearby allies for 5% HP, then gains 2% additional healing per absorbed Nightmare, up to three stacks.

The control effect and the resistance debuff have different wording and durations. Don't treat the three-second immobilization as a 20-second stun. A team attacking the target will also remove the control effect when damage lands.

Dream Blast already gives a team Dark-damage window. Plan the Dark attacker's burst around that window and the Nightmare setup rather than using each skill whenever its button is available. Adjust the order to the enemy's openings, and check that the buff and debuff are active before committing to the burst.

When to use Nightmare Devourer

Nightmare Devourer starts with a 5% heal for Dreaple and nearby allies, then improves that healing through absorbed Nightmare states. That creates a reason to pay attention to the nearby targets and your team's position when you need recovery.

There is also a timing choice: Nightmare Devourer says it absorbs Nightmare from nearby targets. If you're setting up a Dark damage window, check the target's debuff before using the heal and again before bursting. Don't assume the resistance reduction remains untouched simply because the recovery went through.

Nearby is a real condition in the description. Don't assume a companion elsewhere on the field receives the same benefit, and don't turn the three-stack healing cap into an unlimited scaling claim. If you mainly want Dark damage support, check the debuff and Dream Blast window; if you need recovery now, position for the heal.

For exploration, Fly Lv.2 gives Dreaple another use after the catch. Its official Basic entry doesn't provide a separate rare-form comparison, so this guide stays with that documented form.
