Quick Guide
  • This page does not report a live up/down status. Check the newest official notice for your Aniimo region before changing your setup.
  • A missing server option can be an account-region issue rather than an outage; one PC/PS5 report shows different available regions.
  • If maintenance has ended, restart and update the client first. Then compare a basic network test and the launcher's repair option.

Check maintenance before trying fixes

When Aniimo won't connect, first check whether the official notice for your region says maintenance is in progress. A maintenance window, an extension notice and a reopening message are different updates. Use the newest message with the matching region and date, rather than the first search result that says the servers are down.

The September 23 update notice is an example of a planned outage, not today's status. It says the maintenance length could vary and tells players to restart the client afterward. The associated community discussion includes both people getting back in and people still unable to connect in another region. That is exactly why another player's 'I'm in' isn't a reliable status for your own session.

If the newest official notice extends maintenance for your region, wait for its reopening update. Check the date and time zone before treating an older outage as the cause of today's login problem.

Describe the problem before choosing a fix

Different login problems need different checks
What you seeCheck firstAvoid assuming
An official maintenance messageThe affected region, date, time zone and latest extension/reopening notice. That another region's reopening applies to you.
Your preferred region is absentYour platform/account region and the options the client actually provides. That an empty or different list proves a worldwide outage.
Connection failure on one deviceWhether the client is updated and whether another network changes the result. That a video's registry or DNS change is necessary.
Repeated reconnecting after an updateRestart the client and check for the completed update. That a historical bug fix guarantees the current symptom is the same bug.
A friend connects but you cannot joinWhether you are using the same region as well as compatible multiplayer settings. That cross-play removes every region restriction.

Try the straightforward client checks

Close the game and reopen the launcher

After maintenance, let Steam, Epic or your game's launcher finish any available update before starting the game again. On a console, fully close the game rather than returning to a suspended session.

Confirm the symptom persists

Try signing in again and note the exact message. Don't combine several different errors into a single 'server down' diagnosis.

Compare one other connection if available

The troubleshooting video suggests another network or a wired connection. Use it as a comparison: if the same device connects elsewhere, that gives you a useful clue about the original connection.

Use the launcher's file-check option

For Steam, the demonstrated path is Properties → Installed Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files. Epic uses Manage → Verify. Let the check finish, then try again.

Stop and record the result

Keep the platform, region, client version, exact error and checks you've tried. Include those details when you contact support.

A region mismatch is a separate problem

One Reddit report describes a couple in Japan where the PC player could select APAC but the PS5 player only saw Americas. Replies attribute the console result to the PlayStation account/store region, but the thread doesn't establish an officially supported way to change it. Treat that as a reported platform-account issue, not a confirmed global server outage.

Before arranging co-op, compare the region each player is actually using. A creator's invite tutorial warns that players in different regions cannot form the intended session. If the regions don't match, resolve that account/platform question before spending an evening testing routers.

Don't start with a long list of system changes

The network-fix video also proposes registry changes, DNS changes, VPN removal and security exceptions. Those are general suggestions, not verified fixes for your particular Aniimo error. Start with the client, update, region and network comparison checks above. If the issue remains, take the recorded symptom to official support instead of changing several unrelated settings at once.
