Quick Guide
  • Basic Thornblade is Grass DPS; Thunderstorm Thornblade adds Electric. Both official entries list Sword Dance: skills grant up to four stacks, and basic attacks spend a stack for 180% extra damage.
  • Sea of Flowers is the listed habitat. A creator reports finding Thunderstorm Thornblade there during rain; exact map pins and current spawn conditions remain unverified.

Build stacks, then use the basic attacks

Thornblade's damage loop runs through Sword Dance. Skills build stacks; basic attacks spend them. Make room for basic attacks in your rotation so those stacks turn into damage.

The official trait gives one Sword Dance stack per skill used, up to four, with a 15-second duration. Each basic attack consumes one stack for 180% extra damage. Keep the stacks in mind while you're fighting: a filled counter isn't useful if you let its timer run out before spending it.

That doesn't mean there's one fixed combo for every opponent. A clean opening to attack and a good counter opportunity ask for different timing. Read the fight, use skills to maintain the trait, and weave in the attacks that actually spend it.

The two entries share an attribute total of 509: HP 96, BREAK 53, ATK 121, M.DEF 73, P.DEF 74 and REGEN 92. Pick the form for its element coverage and available moves, rather than assuming the extra element also means a larger attribute total.

The official form selector also lists Prismana and Towerwood. Those are separate form choices, not alternate names for Thunderstorm. If a video shows a different model or move set, confirm which form it is before treating it as a Basic Thornblade build.

Finding Thunderstorm Thornblade in rain

AniimoSync's September 19 guide begins in Sea of Flowers during rain and identifies that weather as the opportunity to find Thunderstorm Thornblade. The creator says an ordinary rain shower is enough and a full thunderstorm isn't required.

In the guide, the creator approaches a building and finds the creature near a doorway, with an approach from the side or from above suggested for surprising it. The spoken track doesn't name that building or give coordinates, so use the video as a visual route reference rather than searching every doorway in the region.

Weather report, not a guaranteed spawn timer

Rain in Sea of Flowers is the creator's reported condition. The claim that the region seems to rain constantly is an impression, not a schedule. Check the weather and the actual creature form when you arrive.

For Basic Thornblade, Sea of Flowers is confirmed as its habitat, but this page doesn't have a verified exact catch route or evolution checklist. That habitat tells you which region to investigate; it doesn't establish a guaranteed creature at the Thunderstorm video's landmark.

The counter is worth learning

Thorny Defense gives two reasons to use it: protection while the stance is active, and a bigger reward for catching an attack right as you cast. A panic button pressed after the hit isn't the same timing. Practice against an attack you can recognize before building your whole damage plan around the critical-rate bonus.

Check the moves available on your own form before building the team around them. A move's name alone isn't enough to confirm its element or whether that form can equip it.

Support choices and the buff discussion

Players in the Thornblade discussion frequently suggest Melloblum as a support and talk about a team built around critical hits and basic attacks. Others find the combo awkward or report better results from counters. That's a useful picture of what people are trying, though it doesn't prove a single strongest lineup.

The original post asks for the ultimate to grant maximum Sword Dance stacks or make basic attacks free for a short period. Those are requested buffs. They aren't changes you should expect in the current kit, and the thread isn't an official balance announcement.

Before investing around that idea, try the actual loop: maintain stacks, connect the thrust for its critical-rate buff, and learn the defensive timing. If you enjoy the close-range counter style, build support around it. If you're looking for a creature that handles its entire damage cycle automatically, decide whether this amount of timing suits how you want to play.
